When there is an immediate threat of high-speed ammunition, rifle and machine gun fire soft ballistics alone is not enough. This was the reason we developed high-end hard ballistics 250 x 300 mm (10" x 12") insert plates compliant with NIJ standards. Insert plates come in different shapes; standard - single curved with 400 mm (16") radius; and anatomically shaped, known as 3D inserts; and polygonal - single curved with 400 mm (16") radius; and anatomically shaped. We offer a wide variety of NIJ level III and IV inserts depending on your protection needs, ranging from lightweight pressed Dyneema® to robust combinations of Dyneema®/Ceramics. Furthermore, inserts can be custom made to fit protection need against specific type/caliber of ammunition. Our hard armor inserts have been tested as stand-alone ballistic plates, without soft body armor backing, and had the BFS (back face signature – trauma) below 44mm (1.73”) as required by NIJ standard.
